Kitchen Never Closed

Because of the different time zones we can find between West Europe to East Asia, members of E-A Channel are having meals at different times during the day. While in a city the sun rises and someone is having a coffee, in another one it is already midday and a big lunch is being prepared.

The net doesn't have an organic way or a natural phenomena to know if the day starts or ends, so we want to use the net to see our meal preparations, everytime that there is activity in someone's kitchen; and build like that a kitchen that is never closed.

We would do it with a webcam placed over the cooker of our kitchens and we would see the real time images in our website.

The kitchen never closed would also be a way to talk about cultural differences in terms of eating habits (nearly always determined by the context, the local characteristics), these kind of things we don't necessarily realize when we establish communication between different local points in the earth through the net.

Right now, Sel, Therese and Ari's kitchen are ready to be observed. Everyone interested in streaming image from their kitchen, please send comments to this proposal.
