Programme : Indonesia 20th-30th August 2007
° Presentation of the concept of Euro-Asia Participative Channel and the projects in progress into this platform. Explanation of method, process and tools.
° Individual presentations or workshops about works and/or processes. The idea is to pass on what knowledge you have to another, so that we all learn new things and use the skills to collaborate and produce a project during the festival in Indonesia.
° The theme : Controller workshop : Creating crazy things to use as a controller ; e.g. Michal’s eggbox sound controller. After these workshops take place we can then use the space to discuss a collective project. The output would be a performance / concert / exhibition held during the festival and future events.
It does not have to be a technical controller, but a design that can control someones actions or habits, sounds or images.
Brainstorm:
Controller Path : guiding someone through a path using voice commands or projecting directions on the floor. If the person takes a wrong step, an alarm could sound. This could be interactive by using a webcam that could analyse the movements, and the result would take the form of an installation.
One of the themes of Cellsbutton#1 is education, so we could develop the controller path so that it would be beneficial in a schooling environment. Using sounds that children recognise so they can guide their way around the path like a game.
